For posed newborn sessions, I offer sessions in my home studio which is located in Coopersville, MI.

Studio Sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10am-2pm.

  • The best time to book your newborn session is during your second trimester. I only take a limited number of newborns each month to allow flexibility around due dates.

    Once baby arrives, you’ll message me within 24–48 hours and we’ll choose your official session date.

  • Newborn sessions are ideally done between 5–14 days old. During this time, babies are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those sweet, snuggly poses.

    That said, beautiful images can still be captured after that window. If your baby is already here, reach out anyway.

  • Newborn sessions take place either:

    • In my cozy home studio

    • In your home for a lifestyle session

    Studio sessions are more posed and styled. In-home sessions are relaxed, natural, and focused on connection.

    Not sure which to choose? I’m happy to help you decide.

  • Newborn sessions typically last 1–3 hours.

    That may sound long, but we follow baby’s lead. There is plenty of time built in for feeding, soothing, and snuggles. No rushing here.

  • Totally normal. I’ve photographed many babies and have lots of gentle soothing techniques. If baby stays awake, we simply adjust and capture beautiful awake images.

    Some of the sweetest photos happen in those wide-eyed moments.

  • For studio sessions, I provide wraps, headbands, bonnets, and simple styling pieces.

    For lifestyle sessions, I recommend:

    • A simple neutral onesie

    • A swaddle blanket

    • Nothing at all (diaper covers photograph beautifully)

    I’ll send a full prep guide after booking so you feel completely ready.

  • Soft neutrals photograph best — creams, taupes, soft grays, muted earth tones.

    Avoid bold patterns, neon colors, or large logos. The goal is timeless and cohesive.

    If you’d like help choosing outfits, I’m always happy to look over options.

  • Absolutely. I love capturing the connection between siblings.

    We’ll usually start with sibling and family photos first so little ones can be done early if needed.

  • Yes. Baby safety is always my top priority.

    I am trained in newborn posing and always use safe, supported positions. Many “advanced” poses you may see online are composites created safely in editing.

    If baby is uncomfortable, we do not force the pose.

  • Yes, but I keep everything simple and timeless.

    Think soft textures and natural elements. Your baby is the focus.

  • Your fully edited gallery will be delivered within 6 weeks of your session.

    You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints.

  • Yes. When booked together, maternity and newborn sessions receive a $50 discount.

    I always recommend booking both at the same time to ensure availability.

  • No worries at all. I only book a certain number of due dates per month so I can adjust as needed.
