A RELAXED APPROACH
Baby sets the pace.
Newborn sessions are intentionally relaxed. If your baby needs to eat, cuddle, stretch, have a diaper changed, or simply take a little extra time to settle, we do exactly that.
Some babies sleep through their session while others prefer to stay wide awake and take everything in. Beautiful photographs are possible either way.
There is never a need to worry about your baby "cooperating."
Little ones are welcome exactly as they are.
Siblings don't need to sit perfectly still or smile on command. We'll keep things relaxed, move quickly when we need to, and let genuine cuddles, giggles, curiosity, and connection lead the way.
Family photographs are typically created first so little ones can relax once their portion is finished.

My cozy home studio in Coopersville is thoughtfully designed for newborn sessions, with a curated collection of neutral wraps, blankets, headbands, bonnets, outfits, baskets, and props ready for your little one.
Studio access requires one flight of stairs. Accessible alternatives can be discussed when needed.

BOOKING YOUR NEWBORN SESSION
Your due date is simply our starting point.
I recommend reserving your newborn session during your second or third trimester. Instead of choosing an exact session date right away, we'll reserve your due date and finalize your session once your baby arrives.
Babies rarely follow calendars, so whether your little one arrives early or decides to stay cozy a little longer, there's flexibility built into the process.
For posed newborn portraits
The first 5–14 days are ideal.
For Lifestyle sessions
Sessions can take place throughout the newborn stage.
Because you'll want to remember just how little they were.
